Richard
Key has been in the landscape and garden design and build industry for 30 years, and for the past several years has designed and built gardens in the Bucks and Oxfordshire areas. Richard trained in
landscape construction and design at Merrist Wood College in Guildford.
He worked for several landscape companies in the UK before setting up
his own design practice 15 years ago. Richard was elected a Fellow of the Society of Garden Designers in 2001 and was Vice Chairman and Treasurer of the Society from 1996-98.
In addition to his own Oxfordshire landscape and garden design practice, Richard is also design
consultant for the Waddesdon Plant Centre at Waddesdon Manor, which boasts some of the loveliest gardens in Buckinghamshire. Richard is co-director of Key Gardencare Ltd who provide a complete garden maintenance service.

Richard's designs for gardens have won major awards at the Chelsea Flower Show and Hampton Court Palace Flower Show as well as a principal award from the British Association of Landscape Industries (BALI).
Richard Key has written several imaginative and practical garden design and construction books and been a contributing author to other major publications and magazines.
Richard's gardens have featured on the BBC as well as UK Style. His agent, Laura Hill, International Creative Management (ICM) may be contacted for television commissions.
Richard has lectured on garden design at Middlesex University, The University of Central England and Barnsdale Gardens. He lectures regularly for The Society of Garden Designers, The English Gardening School at The Chelsea Physic Garden and the Garden Design School
From his studio in Thame, Oxfordshire, Richard is able to provide garden design services throughout the UK.
